NOTE: We will not take offers on this bracelet. This is our bottomless-pit price. Prophetic words from Don Hoel (page 97, Skystone and Silver): With the good stones, who looks at the silver as much as the stones? When it comes to Persian turquoise, most high-end American collectors prefer cabochons with aesthetically pleasing matrices. After all, this is the United States of America, not some foreign country with offshore notions. When in Rome, right? An iron nail (4 to 5 on the Mohs scale of mineral hardness, depending on the book and website you are reading) glides through the cabochons’ BLUE, smooth surfaces (not counting the natural fissures of course, just strictly the SMOOTH, blue sections). Since the bracelet holds the highest quality turquoise cabs we have ever encountered (and we certainly have owned many amazing turquoise gems), a RAW stainless steel blade simply glided through without scratching the blue sections that we have scratched (but again, fissures do not count). Also, steel is absolutely not iron. Normal steel (5 to 6 on the Mohs scale, depending on the book and website you are reading) is harder than iron. The broken off tip of the expensive pair of stainless steel scissors (probably 6 on the Mohs scale) also DID NOT scratch the BLUE parts that we have scratched. Keep in mind that the broken off tip does not have the zinc coating; zinc is usually used as the coating material, and its hardness is the same as iron, at least from what we have read. Therefore, the tips of the broken scissors are the raw, HARD, stainless steel. Raw, sharp, stainless steel is harder than zinc — understand? Tanzanite, 6.5 to 7 on the Mohs scale, will be able scratch the cabochons, absolutely. And we have some pricey raw Tanzanite crystals (with 7 on the Mohs) — go figure. It must get tiresome rationalizing the wearing of ugly rocks: Oh me, oh my, I like’old vintage’ (blah, blah). Well, now, you have no excuse not to own the best cabs in town. If a piece does not have info about the artist, etc. Then simply enjoy the masterpiece when it adorns your person. If, however, you find extra tidbits (outside of the receipt) due to our extensive, diligent research, then consider yourself lucky. Many store owners back in the day were not as knowledgeable compared to our “Googled” (with social media in the mix) generation… BUT, do your own sleuthing, in the end. If you have a bracelet that fits, compare our measurements by following the steps of our detailed method… If all else fails, ask a question; never assume. A high quality Persian turquoise was NEVER cheap since day one. We can afford to lower our price because we are not a brick-and-mortar store; we do not have the usual overhead. Digital Weight: 6.4 oz. Picture #2 equals the color of high quality Persian bracelet vs. Stoned Wheat Thins’ blue — compare. Picture #3 equals high quality Persian versus Bisbee versus Royston. MORE FACTS: – The “inner diameter” is approx. The opening-gap’s “inner measurement” is approx. Pictures #11 and #12 show another measurement (follow the dental floss). We have never used this bracelet as you can see from the leftover tag, even though it has a trader code. Please, do not expect the turquoise to be like freshly made glass without matrix, inclusions, fissures, veins, and nature’s beautiful flaws. Actual color and shape may vary from pictures due to glare, digital camera phenomenon, lighting, your computer settings, and other factors. Thank you for stopping by. NOTE: This bracelet will have a tamper-security sticker — Void If Removed. The 6 stone Persian turquoise bracelet is the only one for sale. You will receive nothing more, nothing less.
