Vintage Navajo Squash Blossom Necklace Sterling Silver And Turquoise Signed 1960
It is in original condition and abrasives have never been used to clean it. The exquisite Squash Blossom necklace dates from the 1960s and consists of 20 turquoise set in a rope design and 12 Blossoms. The turquoise are the gorgeous blue color with veining and one stone has green on top and blue on the bottom. The splendid design of the necklace has 6 turquoise that are attached to the Squash Blossoms on each side. In the center is a horseshoe design with 7 turquoise and a unique center stone dangle. There is a double strand of 7.31mm silver beads through the turquoise that taper to a single strand the remainder of the necklace. Please refer to photos. American Turquoise is considered the best in the world, but nowadays is becoming extremely rare. The blue turquoise generally comes from Arizona. On the backside of this magnificent necklace are the initials of the artisan RP and next to them is stamped STERLING. The weight is 136 grams, is 22 in length and has a hook clasp at the end.
